![]() ![]() You can install the Alpine firmware on it and get much more control (and far better sound) on the audio side, but that won’t help you with your maps. It’s actually an Alpine INE-W920R unit which was customised by Mazda. Would just be interested to hear whether that was on option, or if it’s only the Naviextras or nothing. I understand the unit is a Win CE model and runs iGo mappping? Is that correct? If so, would an iGo maps update SD card be compatible? These are slightly less expensive at ~£30 which I would be prepared to spend if it meant having the functionality there - there are several new roads and bypasses near me, so I often look like I’m driving off-road on the nav software. I updated using Naviextras and now have the maps running from the micro SD slot, but the cost for an up to date maps pack is over £60 which I find a bit steep considering I have Google Maps on my phone.
